Hello,
I need help/advice, please... My husband and I are coming into Toronto to see the Blue Man Group on Tuesday evening. We'd like to do dinner somewhere near the theatre (651 yonge street) beforehand and don't know what's good in the area. I know that's close to the Yorkville area which is too...well...froo-froo for our budget, so can anyone please suggest any casual restaurants that are reasonably priced with good portions? We like Italian, Canadian, Thai or anything diner-ish in nature... Any sort of pub that has cold beer and pub grub would work too!... Thanks in advance! Fran

It's my pleasure to officially announce a new project called "Portraits in the Park". Starting next week, once a week, throughout the summer, I will set up shop at one of our local parks armed with a tripod and my Yashica Mat 124G. At the beginning of each week, I will announce a location and time where I will be shooting.
I will take photos of any and all willing participants. One shot per person. Come in costume, come dressed up, come as you are, just come to the park. I will do this as a free service to all who participate, but I will accept a suggested 5 dollar donations for each portrait [for film and processing]. Each participant will recieve a copy of their photo and a scan. Please spread the word and check back at http://www.photojunkie.ca on Monday, July 18th to find out when and where the first location will be. Monday, July 11

I was wondering if any of the photobloggers who've been up to Whitby Psych in the past few months have encountered any trouble while there... any encounters with people hanging out there or even with police.
Happened upon this link when looking up an old photograph and reports of airplanes and police checking out the site made me think again about making a trip this summer. Would love to hear your experiences. Tanja doublecrossed.ca Thursday, July 7

Check out the new and improved Photojunkie if you haven't already done so. It is now "a blog, photoblog and online zine" and well worth a look. Rannie is the founder of the Toronto Area Photoblogs site, as well as the GTAbloggers, and a great photographer.
More than just photos, Rannie also has a 'Spotlight' section (currently an interview with Antony Hare), and interesting blog entries about photography, Toronto, and photography in Toronto. Its great to have Photojunkie back, Rannie! |
