If anyone managed to make it out to Allen Gardens last month then today is the day to post your pics. There's 3 up already. Add them to the photoblog for now, I'm trying to figure out how to add a gallery!

As requested I'm creating a new post to formalise this idea.
The Way We See It is a project we can all join in with. We select a location in Toronto that's easily accessible to everyone and give people a month to photograph that location. Then, at the end of the month, everyone posts one image from that location to the TAP photoblog. The idea is to see how different photographers interpret and capture the subject. The locations should have a common focal point so there is a recogniseable theme running through the shots but what you include is entirely up to you. The first subject for the project is the Allen Gardens conservatory at Carlton and Jarvis, there's an interesting building, both in and out, and plenty of people around. Photos should be posted April 1st. Have fun! Wednesday, March 2

I was reading about the 'way we see it' idea over at photoblogs.org and thought it might be a good thing to try in Toronto. We could pick a location (anything but the secret swing!) and over the course of a month say capture and post an image of the location on TAP. Perhaps we could make a gallery of it.
Thinking of some examples off the top of my head we could pick the Cherry Street bridge, BCE Place, Union Station main hall, etc there are so many accessible locations we could choose. Anyone else interested? Saturday, February 26

It's been a rocky month at lalaland, but since the Google bot that invaded the database, has been squished, all it back to normal. So how about submitting a photo for March's theme?

I recently posted eight new photo themes at Lalaland. So go ahead, flex those finger joints, dust of the tripod and unwrap that roll of 120mm that has been refrigerating for months. I expect great things.

This weeks Macro Mania Monday challenge is Frost or Dew. Luckily I have only seen frost twice so far this season. Hopefully it will hold off another couple of weeks, before it becomes a daily occurance.

This week's Lens Day challenge is Gyration. For anyone who was at Joey's Party this past weekend, there were definite opportunities of capturing photos of me gyrating both during Kareoke as well as on the dance floor with three hot women. Unfortunately I don't think any of the photobloggers present caught any of those shots.
Add you Gyration links in the comments. Saturday, November 6

Are you down about the turn out of this week's election in the USA? You are probably not as down as 49% of Americans. Check out SorryEverybody.com. It's a photo site where Americans can express their message to the rest of the world.

This month's theme over at LALA LAND is Blue Skies. I wish we were getting some of those here in Toronto, but it's been relatively grey for quite awhile lately.
The previous month's theme, Build it, received a record number of submissions. As a result, I added a new them for January "Build it 2". So don't fret. Any submissions that were not posted last month still have a chance to be the January photo of the day. And of course, I welcome even more submissions. Monday, November 1

This week's theme for Macro Mania Monday is sweets and candys. Luckily, my dentist appointment this year was last week, prior to Halloween. But I dunno if I can face another chocolate bar for awhile, at least a few days.

Here's a theme you can do and not even leave the house, especially with all the wet weather we have been getting lately. This week's Photo Friday is Still Life. The best thing about a Still Life is that it won't move on you. Just remember, to get the sharpest image, consider shooting with a tripod.

This week's Theme Thursday is Ads. Considering that we live in Canada's biggest metropolis, it shouldn't be a problem capturing something interesting. In fact, has anyone seen those bus shelters with the ad, "Have you had your Morning Pot?". It's an advertisement for tea. Definitely photo worthy.
