The Canon 20D has been on the market for a few weeks now, and I'm damn jealous. As an avid follower of photographic equipment on ebay, I have noticed a wave of Canon 10D's hitting the markets as their previous owners are upgrading to the 20D.

Here is a list of some of the great features of the new camera.

  • 8.2 MP CMOS Sensor
  • a second generation DIGIC II Image Processor
  • 5 fps performance for up to 23 consecutive frames
  • 0.2 second start-up time
  • shutter speed of 1/8000 sec
  • flash sync at 1/250
  • a new high-precision 9-point AF System
  • a built-in multi-controller for fast focusing point selection
  • a refined magnesium alloy body
  • compatible with Canon's new EF-S Lenses
  • also compatible with the entire EOS System of lenses and flashes

Full featured reviews on the 20D are also beginning to surface online. I was particularly interested in the Hands On Review that was published by Photo District News (a publication geared towards photography professionals). Here is a list of other online reviews.
